Reason: Chelsea played terrible last season and finished at the 10th position. They appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager and their ambitions are to win the title. It won’t be an easy job for them, because few very good teams want the same. Home side didn’t make many changes in team. Almost all key players stayed in the club, while on the other side they brought Michy Batshuayi (Marseille) and N’Golo Kanté (Leicester City). Without any doubt, Conte is one of the best managers in Premier League and he will bring some new freshness in team. Chelsea played 6 friendly matches and won 4 of them, while 2 matches lost. Eden Hazard showed in the preparing period that he will be the old one and Chelsea could be one of the main candidates for the trophy this season.
West Ham finished the last season at the 7th position and they will play in the qualifications for the UEFA Europa League against Astra. Their ambitions for this season are the same – to finish in the top 7 and play in Europe next season. At the start of the season they face Chelsea, big city rivals, and they want to make good result at Stamford Bridge. Almost all first team players from the previous season stay in the club, except James Tomkins who moved to Crystal Palace, while on the other side André Ayew joined to West Ham and they could be even more dangerous in the attack. Dimitri Payet, who played fantastic last season, will stay in the club and fans believe that their team can make even better success this season. Last season, West Ham stay unbeaten at Stamford Bridge and they believe that can make another good performance in the first round.
Chelsea play at home upfront their supporters and they are closer to take three points, but West Ham have very squad and they will be fully motivated to beat them at the start. I expect interesting match between Chelsea vs West Ham and goals in both nets @ 1.80
